Dr. Merchant completed his graduation in Homeopathic medicine in 2006; at the end of the 5 ½  year  program which included 1 year clinical internship, his thesis on Homeopathic Management of Post Myocardial Infarction patients was considered a commendable work and was selected as an approved topic by the Interpathy Research Cell of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

In 2006 he went on to pursue his M.D. in advanced Homeopathy from Bombay where he had the opportunity to apprentice with some of the best Homeopaths in India and has gained intensive clinical experience in treating chronic, debilitating illnesses as well as acute diseases. He also lectured at his postgraduate research institute for 3 years, teaching Anatomy, Pathology, Medicine and Homeopathic Materia Medica.

He brings to the Canadian Homeopathic scene a fresh perspective that emphasizes on the genetic constitutional make up of the patients and lays importance to embryology and genetics in studying the disease pattern of each case, since no two diseased individuals have similar symptoms and etiologies, which enables him to give consistent results in even serious pathological cases.
